Terms of Use

Smart Inspector is an organizational tool that helps you plan daily checks, log temperatures, follow up on corrective actions, and prepare for health inspection visits.

• We are not an official body: the Service is not affiliated with the Jordan Food and Drug Administration or any government body, and has no official approval from them.
• No guaranteed inspection result: using the app does not guarantee that you will pass an inspection. The final decision belongs to the competent inspector and official authorities.
• Not professional advice: default limits and suggestions in the app are guidance only. You remain responsible for complying with the health regulations and instructions that apply to you, and for checking that your settings match them.

The Service is currently in its prototype and early access stage. Features may change, be added or be removed; there may be bugs; and we may pause or change the beta. Early access is free. We recommend keeping a copy of your important records during this stage.

• You must be at least 18 and authorized to use the Service on behalf of the restaurant.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for protecting your phone and any account in the app, for how your staff use the app in your restaurant, and for removing access for any staff member who leaves.

Your restaurant data and records belong to you. You only give us the permission we need to process them to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. Records must reflect what actually happened, such as the real temperature reading and the time a check was done.

You must not:

• Enter false or altered records to mislead inspectors, regulators or customers.
• Use the Service for any purpose that breaks Jordanian law.
• Try to hack or disrupt the Service, or access other users’ data.
• Copy, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except as far as the law allows.
• Resell the Service or provide it to a third party without our written consent.
• Upload malware or offensive content.

All rights in the app and website, including the name, logo, design, content and software, belong to us or are licensed to us. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service to run your restaurant under these terms.

The Service is free during early access. At the official launch we will announce subscription plans, prices, and the cancellation and refund policy. We will not charge you anything before clearly informing you and getting your consent.

We do our best to keep the Service accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any guarantee that it will work without interruption or errors, or that it will meet every requirement of your business, to the fullest extent the law allows.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for:

• Inspection results, violations, fines or closure decisions.
• Spoiled food, or any damage caused by relying on alerts or settings.
• Loss of data stored on your phone because the device is damaged or lost, or the app is deleted.
• Indirect damages, such as lost profits or reputation.

In any case, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. This clause does not limit any liability that cannot legally be limited.

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we shut down the Service entirely. If we shut down the Service, we will give reasonable notice where possible so you can save a copy of your data.

We may change these terms from time to time and will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. If the changes are significant, we will notify you before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept them.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the courts of Amman have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Before that, we aim to resolve any disagreement amicably, so please contact us first. If the Arabic version of these terms and any translation differ, the Arabic version prevails.
